US Operations Manager & EDI Specialist

System Integration, Migration, and Technical Project Management

Advanced training in EDI translation software and mapping for major retail trading partners  

Thorough knowledge of IT systems including both Mac and PC Platforms, networking, database management, and ERP Systems

Operations management and strategic planning.  Ability to create automated solutions using available technology to improve efficiencies, lower overhead, and reduce human error

Extensive experience with all areas of Logistics including Importing, Exporting, Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Security, Customs Clearance, and Management of Third Party Logistics Providers

Logistics and Operations Management
•	Manage US Operations Team
•	Develop and implement initiatives to reduce supply chain costs, improve inventory turns and efficiency.
•	Accurately identify risks affecting supply, delivery and cost. Develop strategies to minimize the impact of potential risks.
•	Develop and manage a performance driven supplier management process resulting in joint problem solving and overall quality improvement.
•	Determine proper service providers and negotiate pricing and delivery terms that result in the total lowest cost. 
•	Maintain company’s status as a validated member of C-TPAT including but not limited to Security Assessment, Communication with US Customs and Border Protection, and auditing of processes and procedures.
•	Accountable for managing inventory at 3PL warehouse and Packaging Houses
•	Directly responsible for managing build projects at packaging houses.
•	Manage on-time delivery performance and shrinkage/damage control with respect to Carriers
•	Provide interface and direction for dedicated carriers on issues and improvement projects
•	Manage relationship with our 3PL provider, packaging houses and service providers.

EDI Management
•	Plan and direct the analysis of automated systems
•	Supervise and train co-workers on use of company equipment and systems 
•	Day to day support of various systems of operation and monitor system activities to insure that all interfaces are working as required 
•	Coordinate and conform with the operational aspects of EDI 
•	Hardware, software, network troubleshooting 
•	Providing required systems training, knowledge and reporting 
•	Performing modifications as needed 
•	Consult/coordinate with corporate and customer system programmers to design, develop and implement new modifications to EDI systems
•	Monitoring performance of entire system and maintaining system security
•	Gathering and analyzing data concerning EDI operations 
•	Coordinating and managing process improvements within the operation
