Financial Controller

I am currently working as the Financial Controller at an Australian medical devices company, Simavita. Prior to that my experience, approximately 13 years, has been largely in American companies, General Electric and EMC, including working for a year in Connecticut, with GE Corporate Lending. I bring with myself very strong experience in financial modelling, planning, budgeting and forecasting as well as day to day operational accounting including closing, financial, including SEC and management reporting. I am technically very strong and am incredibly hand-on and possess exceptional systems and particularly Excel skills. I have been instrumental in process redesigning and improvements. Also during the tenure of my career, I have been involved in various system implementation and business integration process.

?	Preparing the annual budget as well as the 3-year forecast.
?	Preparation of monthly departmental P&L showing the actuals against the budget and reviewing the variances with the department heads.
?	Preparation of monthly financial statements – Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement and Key Metrics for submission to the Board.
?	Preparation of quarterly financial reports for submission to ASX.
?	Responsible for mid-year and annual statutory audit. Coordinate with PwC for all audit related matters, preparing the working documents, resolving queries, etc.
?	Responsible for preparing financial policies and ensuring adherence to them.
?	Managing day to day financial operations – liaising with banks, reviewing and approving payments and general financial management.
