For more than 5 years I have been employed as a Designer and Illustrator with America Star Books and have also taken frequent additional freelance opportunities during that time. During my tenure with my present and previous employers, I have had the opportunity to develop and hone my skills in many different areas of design. Thanks to my rich and varied experience, I am today proficient in various types of graphic design work, including children’s book illustration, book layout and design, catalogs, brochures, bookmarks, vinyl printing, posters, logo design and web design/maintenance. I have expert proficiency with industry standard design software including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Flash.

I take great pride in the design work I create and strive to deliver an effective and focused product that meets or exceeds my company and authors needs and goals.  I am a creative, hardworking and reliable Designer who works well in a collaborative team or individually. I work well with my authors and pride myself on having strong communication and presentation skills. My career goals are to continue to learn and grow as a Designer while utilizing my creativity, education and people skills in order to benefit my employer and clients.

• In charge of creating a digital back-up database for the Library of Congress by scanning, cropping and preparing historical presidential documents.

• Responsible for designing and creating web pages & emails.
• Generated HTML pages & HTML marketing emails in direct accordance with the VP of marketing.

• Assisted in design of marketing outlets for clients including newsletters, brochures, advertisements, postcards, website updates and web design.
