In the competitive business world, there have been numerous strategic plans that have been well thought out for an organization’s growth and articulated in various types of company communications and still fail to achieve the results expected. Some of the best made plans have failed because they were not executed through the sales organization. My experience will show that the strategic plan for an organization has to be a living document that is lived every day versus a professional PowerPoint that is created and sits on a shelf. The plan has to be broken down to each of the functions and roles accountable for the execution of the plan in order for it to meet the P&L expectations. I am currently looking for opportunities that need the vision to develop the strategic plan and then be responsible for implementing the plan through a sales organization that may involve multiple sales channels that would include direct sales, account managers, independent representatives, and distribution.
