Assistant Manager/Director of Marketing

I am studying Entrepreneurship and Integrated Marketing Communications at the Orfalea College of Business (California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo). My interests include surfing, kitesurfing, skiing, photography, traveling, the outdoors, and fitness. I am a brand ambassador for Dakine and Glidesoul and I am very active in the water sports community. During the summer months, I am the head sailing instructor at Gorge Junior Sailing in Hood River, Oregon. I also work as a retail sales associate at Melika, a water and activewear boutique.

Melika is a small swimwear and yoga boutique in Hood River, Oregon. My job as a salesperson required me to stock, organize, and display all of the merchandise carried in store. I catered to the needs of the clients and was required to know the quality, use, and make-up of the different products we carried.

During the summer I work as the Head Sailing Instructor for Gorge Junior Sailing. As the head instructor,I am responsible for supervising and instructing large groups of children, teenagers, and adults. My position also requires me to develop the sail school curriculum, manage paperwork and reservations, and keep track of dock inventory. For this position I am Level 1 Sailing, CPR, and First Aid Certified.

As a manager at Gorge Junior Sailing, I am responsible for organizing and supervising the sail school during the summer months. I am responsible for doing paperwork, creating daily sail school curriculum, organizing and staffing the instructors, communicating with our program host and Hood River Community Education, and ensuring that our customers and staff have great experiences with our program.

At District 96 Salon I was responsible for answering the phones, making appointments, up- keeping the salon, handling the money, and training new employees. This job required me to have an understanding of the services provided at District 96 and the products they used.

As the social media and marketing intern for DriftingThru, I was responsible for managing the social media pages and analyzing current trends in the surf and skate industry. This position required me to utilize my photography skills as I was responsible for producing the content for the social media pages.

As an intern for Dakine, I worked alongside a marketing team to monitor and analyze the attention Dakine received through the media. We analyzed the top products based on color scheme, product type, and model which allowed us to determine the profitability of products and specifics. Our team also managed the Dakine team riders in order to keep track of their involvement and success in promoting Dakine.	

Public Relations/Marketing Intern

As a windsurfing instructor for Big Winds, I was responsible for teaching Big Wind's Kids Camp. I was responsible for rigging and setting up the windsurf gear, supervising large groups of children, and teaching them how to windsurf.
