I have been a Plant Manager for 29 years. I have experience in JIT and Lean Six Sigma principles. I have Logistics scheduling experience both domestically and overseas. I have worked in both a Union and Non Union environment and I am comfortable in both. I have manufacturing experience in the Garment industries, Pet Products and Health Aid industries as well as the Scrap Metal industry. I am a hand's on manager and coach the employees to come up with solutions to problems. By empowering the employees I make them feel as though they are team members. I have designed and set up an efficient washing and finishing facility. Instructed employees how to recognize and correct sewing and knitting errors. Set up and maintained a functional “quality control” system. I am an experienced quality technician in all aspects of sweater and knit apparel. I have excellent management evaluation and training skills. I have excellent mill and factory evaluation abilities in both technical and quality aspects. I have excellent interpersonal and computer skills. I am extremely well organized and detail oriented.

In charge of production control and all manufacturing areas of this scrap metal recycler. I have scheduled all the Logistics for the facility for both Domestic and Overseas shipments. Oversee the manufacturing processes and direct employees in their daily workflow and activities. Work with the owners and schedule production based on the constantly changing markets and customer demands. Aid with the deployment of new equipment and set up. Learn and understand the nuances and nomenclature of the various metals and alloy types in order to understand how to conduct production control and direct the processors in their functions.

Plant Manager

In charge of production control and all manufacturing areas of this manufacturer of pet products. Oversee the manufacturing processes and direct supervisors in the proper way to schedule workflow and employees activities. Listen to Union grievances and employee disputes and try to resolve them with a mutually beneficial solution. Aid with the deployment of new equipment and set up.

Travel to domestic and overseas manufacturers to perform quality evaluations of garments before acceptance for distribution. Evaluation of knitting facilities as prospective sources for production both domestically and overseas. Extensive usage of Lotus, Excel, Word for Windows, Access, PowerPoint and various other computer programs. Initiation of claims and settlements with vendors and overseas offices dealing with quality rejections. Complete technical knowledge of sweater knits and cut and sew knit apparel. I have working experience with woven apparel from a quality control aspect and a limited technical background.

Quality Control Manager - Knits

Responsible for overall processing and manufacture of men’s and women’s knit sweaters. Maintained and supervised quality procedures, analytical methods training and production scheduling departments.


Scheduled yarn and knitting orders to New York area knitting mills. Scheduled and assigned cutting orders to 	finishing mills. Monitored daily and weekly shipments made to Brookshire Knitting Mills from each location. 	Responsible for the quality of the work produced at each location.

Indépendant Production Consultant

Managed the overall operation of this “fully fashioned” knitting mill with full profit and loss responsibility. Performed time and motion studies, yarn purchasing and testing, material and final product costing and direct and indirect cost reduction. Established an effective management staff, mill-wide security system and a defined disciplinary policy.
