 Web Design Adjunct Faculty Instructor

I was invited to teach Web Design Production, the capstone course to the Multimedia Graphic Design program at FRCC. This class integrates technical skills with site design and development principles —from concept through launch—and gives students real- world experience working with clients. Course includes topics on project management, working with clients, creative briefs, proposals and estimates, web and mobile design wireframes, high fidelity comps, presentation skills, web development, content management systems, web marketing and social media, search engine optimization and client management.  I love teaching!

Highlights & Accomplishments:
•	Using mobile first philosophy, lead the charge to redesign and architect responsive e-commerce web site serving over 20,000 customers
•	Built out Agile Product Management function to represent the business in development of the Company’s technology experience. Improved process and productivity with internal teams and helped drive initiative to scale Agile to business.
•	Lead Scrum team of front end developers, UX designers and UX analyst to drive iterative implementation and user-centric software solutions based on testing, data and research.



Director of Product & User Experience

I started at Door to Door as a Front-end/user experience designer on the software development team in the Product Development group. I was given a wide range of responsibilities that ranged from design of high-fidelity mockups and front end SASS/HTML code for new site features to responsive/adaptive research and design, conversion landing pages and HTML email templates with an overall focus on user experience strategy, research, user testing and product development initiatives.

Interaction Designer

I was hired at Active Interest Media (AIM) to help organize and build the new Digital Services team.  Often referred to as the “face of Digital Services,” I had the privilege of establishing relationships with the various business groups across the country, being the point person for their projects, supervising front-end designers, leading the team of developers and being the director’s “right hand” as we tackled a host of challenges.

I led the digital team in a complete site redesign and migration to Wordpress for Vegetarian Times. The project included an e-commerce store, personalized user section, recipes, blogs, articles and resources. The site has over 7,000 recipes and has enjoyed a 70% increase in organic search traffic since last year.
