I'm an affable geek, who can't get enough of playing in the mountains. And I've been fortunate enough to spend the last 20 years working in a field that I love - innovation and product development for the outdoors and cycling industries.
I love challenges that push the leading edge of design and product performance forward, and thrive at the upper and niche ends of the market. In my spare time I read a lot - white papers, patents, and technical/process/science writing. I love to get inside how other people/industries are solving problems and the process of how others/teams innovate.
Working in the outdoor industry is as much a mission as a job for me - I believe that being in the outdoors makes us better people, and I feel impelled to reduce/remove barriers to people being outside and playing in the wild.
