I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a degree in Fire Science and Technology and after taking a series of classes I discovered I wanted to get into an area that allows me to use analytics and process improvement. This lead to a job with DAMCO distribution where I was a business analyst in process improvement. Overtime I noticed three things; One, that many people resist change even if it can make their life easier, Two, that I enjoy the face to face interaction with people, learning their jobs, analyzing where improvements can be made etc, and three the huge impact that making a comprehensive layman’s term guide can be to helping people accept change. After my tenure with DAMCO ended I was offered a contract Job at Vans where my I had the opportunity to live out my dream job and work for a Skateboard/Fashion company. I learned that this is where I wanted to be where my passion really was I worked extremely hard, but unfortunately that wasn’t my time and the contract ended. I am currently working for a not for profit supplemental health insurance company (SCAN Health Plan) as a business analyst apart of a web development team.
