Independent Sales Representative

President of a sales and marketing agency that has been very successful with strong brands like Volcom, Electric and Xcel . Our team is looking to work with a brand that is ready to take things to the next level on the East Coast.

Third Wave currently represents Electric, Salty Crew, Neff, Raw Elements and Xcel Wetsuits. My team has helped to grow these brands and others from infancy into million dollar plus territories. We have been extensively involved with not just distribution and sales but also line development and marketing. Third Wave has also been recognized with multiple sales awards.  Outside of our broad specialty retail account base we also work with Dick's Sporting Goods, Urban Outfitters, Military tactical suppliers and Military Exchanges (Navy, Marine Corps,Coast Guard).
Third Wave consists of reps located in HI, DE and VA as well as a team of customer service people that work out of our main office in Virginia Beach VA. The Third Wave showroom and office/warehouse is 2,400 Square feet and also has a 30 foot traveling showroom. We believe that strong and profitable business relationships are achieved with professional and reliable customer service.

Our Agency grew this brand from infancy into a multi million dollar territory territory in the Mid Atlantic states.  Our diverse account base consisted of independent, national and international retailers with all categories in both men's and women's.

Territory Representative

Created and established The Surf Hotline Inc as a service that provided reports and forecasts of east coast surfing conditions. The business began as   a phone service developing into complete access through the internet.  I hired and managed a staff of reporters and forecasters for the entire east coast. This network provided the necessary content/information to attract customers and be profitable.  I was also able to maintain solid marketshare through the execution of a detailed marketing plan. Success came from strong relationships and marketing partnerships with the east coasts largest surfing organization as well as it's top surf retailers. The Surf Hotline eventually merged with it largest competitor, Surfline and Wavetrak. Working with Sean Collins I secured locations for and installed the first internet surf cams on the east Coast and brought some major advertisers onboard. I became a share holder of Surfline and Swell after being bought out by Surfline.

Owner/Shareholder

One of the original North American representatives to introduce an entirely new brand and product to the surf industry.  The FCS  interchangeable surfing fin system revolutionized surfboard performance and surf travel. Surf Hardware also brought a line of innovative and premium surf and travel products to the market.

One of the heritage snowboard brands who's founder was credited for inventing the snowboard.  Radically increased territory sales and built a business partnership with Peter Glenn and the Sports Authority.

This ski club is the oldest in America and has been a major step for top elite Ski and Snowboard competitors. I worked with US Olympic Snowboard team coach Bud Keene to help pioneer and build a strong and successful  Snowboarding Competition and Academy program.  This required Recruiting and marketing along with creating a structured itinerary of training drills, Video analysis,  travel competitions and regional events.  It also required daily on and off hill activities to develop the athletes in our program.
