Assistant Wholesale Manager

Cody completed two Bachelor's Degrees (Geography; German Studies) as a President's Scholar at California State University Long Beach, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 2012. 

Since then, he has worked for city government, non-profit organizations, Patagonia, and the specialty coffee industry. Also, he has volunteered with the US Forest Service, Habitat for Humanity, Ashland Independent Film Festival, Tahoe Rim Trail Association, Tahoe Food Hub, and Oregon Natural Desert Association. His travels have taken him throughout the United States and to Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Norway. 

Cody is currently Assistant Wholesale Manager for Noble Coffee Roasting in Ashland, OR. 

Support the annual plan with quarterly goals set by the Wholesale Manager. Process orders from wholesale partners and website customers. Create roasting schedule for the roasting team. Oversee packaging as well as preparation of orders for shipping and delivery. Assist with deliveries as well as equipment maintenance and repair.

Responsible for areas of customer service and sales, store merchandising and maintenance, environmental activism, store operations, and training. Responsible for in-store Patagonia Provisions product merchandising, supply management, and general promotions/tasting events. Facilitated store donations of Patagonia products to local non-profit environmental and social groups.

Retail Sales Associate

Supported Patagonia wholesale account base by building and maintaining sustainable, reciprocal relationships with both Patagonia dealers and sales representatives. Worked with Dealers to maintain preseason order base, assisted in inventory management. Facilitated communication between wholesale dealer customers and Patagonia Mail Order/Customer Service and the Patagonia Pro program. Assisted and supported Patagonia’s credit department with credit hold accounts.

Dealer Services Representative (Specialty Wholesale)

Assisted Chief Operations Officer in execution of daily duties, including attending regional water issues meetings, and advocating on behalf of agriculture and rural communities. Produced, edited content for Family Water Alliance Facebook page. Wrote articles focused on regional water issues for Family Water Alliance’s quarterly Green Ribbon Report. 

Operations Intern

Performed research, editing, and general spatial analysis for various city departments using ArcGIS software.  

Spatial Analysis/GIS Intern

Facilitated operation of historic Lake Tahoe-area marina. Assisted customers of all ages. Provided basic boat service. Performed sales and merchandising tasks in marina store, including cash handling, re-stock, display, price markdowns. Signed for store deliveries, helped package items for shipment. Maintained store appearance and visual merchandise standards. Lead tours of boat storage facility.
