Content Team

I currently work with the skiing community website Newschoolers.com as a member of the photography program and journalism program. Content team members provide premium content and work closely with website partners and managers. Over my first winter with the website, 2012-2013, I gained wide recognition and rapport with the over 300,00 unique monthly visitors to the website. Since 2012, my photos received over 1,200,000 views. My article have seen over 309,000 view in the 2015-2016 winter alone.
Over the 2013-2014 Winter I became a member of the Journalism Program in which I was the top member of the year.

Beginning in January of 2012 I have been working as a freelance photographer and videographer, under my own name. My website and portfolio can be found at Mattsklarmedia.com

As Photo Editor I coordinate the content team photographers at Newschoolers.com
This team is made up of ten photographers from around the world who contribute to the website. The Photo Editor is responsible for organizing and developing the program as well as its members. Duties include strategy, critique and connecting photographers with brands athletes and events.
After three years on the content team, I was promoted to the editor role.

Photo Editor

During the summer of 2013 I was employed at the ski, snowboard and action sports camp and facility Woodward at Copper. As a content specialist I was responsible for photography and social media. Specific tasks included working with visiting professionals and promoting the camp through my photos and social media outlets.

Content Specialist

This internship is heavily engaged in many aspects of video production, from pre-production planning to post-production editing as well as marketing and social media engagement. I worked as part of a team to generate K2 branded content working with some of the top athletes and products in the industry.
