I have been involved in graphic design since my high school days in 1993. I have a graffiti art background and I used to draw my classmates names and small logos for them. What started off as a small passion for art would later turn into a career for me in Graphic Design. In 95'-2000, I worked for a telecommunications company designing call screens for their clients. After attending college, I freelanced for two years designing various print projects for real estate companies, doctors, attorneys and small businesses. In 2007, I was hired by a well-known retail healthcare brand in Rancho Dominguez as their in-house graphic designer. During my 9 years of working there, I gained experience in package design, marketing, advertising, photography as well as project and time management. I worked closely with the Sales Marketing Manager on strategies for marketing and branding our products. I also worked on product photography, 3d renderings and touch-ups of photography for the use by our retailers and for our social media and online stores. In 2016, the business made the decision to downsize and I had to make the decision to move on. I was then hired by a print production company and I currently freelance as their pre-press graphic designer. Working here has propelled my skills on the understanding of proper artwork file setup, color theory and the print production process. It has also taught me that artwork can be economical but still have a great impact in the consumer market. Because of all this experience, I am capable of designing and following through on any project from beginning to end.
