Bill Main

Summary

Born and raised in San Pedro, California, I was introduced to skateboarding as soon as my older brother and dad could get me on a board. Some kids had baseball cards, we had old Powell and Santa Cruz decks to collect.

Growing up around all the beautiful skateboard deck artwork in the eighties and having a father that frequented the Pomona swap meet exposed me to a bubbling cauldron of good visual references. I was accepted to Art Center College of Design with nothing more than my life drawings and a notebook filled with cartooned skate, surf and hot rod graphics. Jumping in to the action sports world out of school would have been a no-brainer but I actually got hooked in the the grocery world, bringing that same weirdo vibe to packaging and marketing collateral for Trader Joe's and Imperfect Foods.

I'm an experienced designer with over ten years of experience in CPG. Demonstrated history of developing and executing design direction for consumer product lines, illustrated posters and social media with patience, adapting to accommodate changes in strategic direction or client needs.

Skilled in Illustration, Graphic and Packaging Design, Animation, Research and Art Direction.

Graduated from Art Center College of Design and currently living in San Pedro, California.
