Assistant Manager - Hotel Recreation 

I am a assistant manager at the Disneyland Resort for the Hotel Recreation Department. I have been involved with recreation whether it being an athlete, coordinator and/or supervisor along with branching out in the hospitality and marketing industry for over 5+ years. I have worked for both Universities and multiple recreation facilities.

Currently  at the Disneyland Resort I manage the day to day operations of the recreation department. This includes managing a team of 30+ cast members a day, ranging in positions from lifeguards, cabana hosts, and trainers. I work with managers of the hotels to ensure guest satisfaction during their stay. I am also cross trained in other areas within the department allowing me to grow and gain new experiences and knowledge.

My fellow cast members know they can always depend on me whether as their leader or confidant. We are very supportive of one another always seeking to help others grow. We work together to help our guests have a sense of ease while visiting us with keeping their family safe and ensure they are having the best guest experience at our resort. I make sure to interact with the guest to look for areas of improvement and value feedback of all kinds.

I have a BS in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism, along with a minor in International Tourism from the University of Utah. 

I am the assistant manager at the Disneyland Resort for the Hotel Recreation Department. My responsibilities include working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices. I am responsible for managing the day to day operations, managing cast member schedules, payroll, handle customer service issues, and assist in medical emergencies as a first responder.  I assist in providing training sessions, develop appropriate objectives and ensure achievement for both lifeguard and cabana host training. Assisting in knowledge development of both the role and duties of each position. Maintain a relationship with each trainee and serve as a mentor, helping them to grow in the company.

My responsibilities as the summer camp coordinator were to help create a structured and fun gymnastics summer camp program for children ages 5-12. I created an agenda utilizing the curriculum we had on hand as well as organized training for all staff members. I managed a team of 10 coaches and created their weekly schedules. I  assisted as a gymnastic coach for ages 1-4 and served as a event coordinator for events ranging in birthday parties, home school physical education, and community involvement. 

Summer Camp Coordinator

I created the print materials distributed on campus. I planned different events that are based on our programs for students, staff, and faculty. I managed and updated our website, social media pages, and other informational sources. I participated in marketing events where I utilized different marketing techniques to promote our facilities and programs. I prepared mailers and brochures by formatting content and graphics. Maintained marketing library by checking and replenishing inventory as well utilizing Adobe Suite to create all in house materials from photography to brochures. I provided marketing tracking and research information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. I kept up to date with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as attending conferences and taking seminars to help grow in the marketing field.
