Senior Market Specialist, New Brands for Truck/Diesel & Jeep/Offroad

Marketing, product and brand management leader with a Master of Business Administration. Accomplished in developing brands, product lines and vendor relations as well as creating successful strategies for long term growth. As a Senior Market Specialist, I hold all of the same responsibilities listed under my previous role as a Market Specialist-Level II with the addition of the following: 
• Provide leadership and guidance for (5) Level I/II Market Specialists & (3) Merchandising Assistants

This role encompasses many different organizational functions wrapped into one. 

Market Development & Analytics

Responsible for increasing the sales and gross profit for the Truck, Diesel, Jeep & Offroad markets. Aside from launching new brands, I helped set the direction of these markets by working cross functionally with Internet Marketing, Catalog Production and Advertising to assure we’re positioning ourselves as a leader in these markets. Heavy emphasis on daily analysis of categories, part types, part numbers and market segments to help determine proper strategies for growing business.

Brand management

Launched 35+ new brands for my respective markets. Through this, I have researched, connected and established relationships with these brands and setup a tailored wholesale programs built specifically for our organization. Once launched, they are held under my supervision in an incubation period of 12-18 months to where I merchandise their product in our four catalogs, any print marketing, email campaigns and ensure our website presentation is up to par. 

Category/Product Management

Responsible for the product placement and maintenance for four mail order catalogs and 10-15 magazine titles on a monthly basis. Aside from the catalog, I oversee the website market segment presentation for my respective markets. Within this, I assign the categories that should be presented on our market segment page as well as the images needed to depict the best customer experience. Lastly, I help create monthly email campaigns for my designated markets that feature unique product or category themes and monthly promotions.

Market Specialist, Level II

Conducted pricing analysis for over 400 new and existing vendors to ensure Summit Racing Equipment is competitive while maintaining highest margins that the market place will allow. Monitored the daily adjustment of retail prices on newly created products to be competitive and profitable. Maintained print marketing material such as catalog and magazine ad pricing along with proofing catalogs and magazine ads for each production cycle. Conducted competitive pricing research based on competitors catalogs, websites and email campaigns

Pricing Analyst

This role allowed both the management of new and existing authorized dealers and inside salesman as well as development and implementation of new product lines and marketing/brand strategy.

I managed and built upon an authorized dealer network that consisted of 500+ dealers that ranged from brick and mortar speed shops to full blown warehouse distributors. Developed and implemented a successful sales plan that created double digit growth over the previous year and allowed long term growth over the next five years after leaving. I was also responsible for hiring, developing and managing automotive salesman to help grow and achieve our sales goals. Created daily, monthly and yearly analytics that weren’t previously implemented which allowed a deeper look at an individual’s overall performance as well as dealer and product performance for the organization. 

Worked cross functionally with Marketing, R&D and Operations to create a successful product development strategy that not only created new product lines, but helped improve existing products. During my tenure, we were able to launch headers and exhaust for at least seven major platforms including 2011+ Mustang, 2009+ Cadillac CTS-V, 2011+ Ford Raptor, 92+ Crown Vic, 2010+ Camaro improvement, universal turbo headers, and several private label programs. Once the products were developed, I worked closely with Marketing to develop and implement marketing strategies to determine where to spend our budget, such as magazine ads, online message boards, social media and TV ad space. 

Automotive Sales Manager

This was a multifaceted role that allowed me to handle multiple high priority functions within a medium sized organization. 

As an E-commerce & Catalog Merchandiser, I managed hundreds of product lines on our website to obtain the best possible shopping experience for the customer. I created, maintained and analyzed companywide catalog and website promotions on a weekly basis. I tested and implemented product line placement and category placement to be featured on the home page and throughout the website hierarchy. Lastly, I maintained and developed new and existing product lines to ensure proper applications, descriptive attributes, images, and instructions were assigned all within our in-house data warehouse. 

Within the Pricing Analyst role, I maintained 70+ brands to ensure that we had proper margins while remaining competitive in the market place as well as testing and monitoring price elasticity based on customer response. On top of remaining competitive, I had to implement multiple cost changes that were handed down from our brands throughout the year.

Within the Supply Chain Analyst role, I was responsible for the daily placement of inventory stock orders & warehouse replenishment that accounted for $8-10 million in COG a year. 

E-commerce & Catalog Merchandising, Pricing Analyst & Supply Chain Analyst

Trained, developed and motivated new hires in a team based inbound sales environment. Supervised 10-20+ sales agents, ensuring proper service levels, close rate and customer satisfaction were achieved. Provided technical product support to both internal agents and customers.
