My prior experience includes 15 years of brand management, trade marketing and sales in Fortune 500 corporations and start-up firms. I have filled the traditional brand management role specifically at M&M/Mars, DuPont, Rubbermaid, McCormick spice and Foreign Candy.
After ascending to VP Marketing/Sales at Foreign Candy, I marketed events, nonprofits and eCommerce in the Baltimore/Washington area. For traditional CPG brands I have managed portfolios up to $300 million, and including new product development on a global basis. The new products developed in partnership with retailers like 7-Eleven became best sellers and the fastest selling snacks during launch.
As the Digital Marketing Manager for Ripken Baseball and the IronBirds minor league team, I managed online ticket sales and premium packages (through Ticket Return and other custom ticket portals), events, camps, tournaments and merchandise. Our online ticket sales are up about 20% and merchandise sales are ahead more than 30%. I have additional work experience at US Lacrosse and I have coached college and youth lacrosse and soccer. I am avid skier and participate in many speed sports.
Since launching the USA Today website in 1995 I have incorporated web and electronic communications into all of my work. I am skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite, basic desktop software, cms platforms (Drupal, WordPress), html and several programming languages. Over the course of my work I have handled PR, direct marketing, loyalty programs, campaigns across web, email, TV, radio, print and social media and graphic services.
