Graphic Designer

Leonie (leh-oh-knee) is experienced in editorial design with extensive knowledge of typography
and pre-press. She has taken courses in analog printmaking processes and is skilled in
calligraphy work. She enjoys hands-on experience and is capable of learning new skills on her
own if the task at hand requires it.
Leonie also has in-depth knowledge of bookbinding and box making alternatives, being highly
interested in the mixed-media layout designs inspired in the aesthetics of punk fanzines of the
late 1970’s and early 1980’s. She is also interested in film, found footage documentaries and
contemporary video art. Leonie has recently been making short films which directly responds to
her surrounding environment and uses everyday experiences as a starting point.
She sees projects from the concept stage, development and production to delivery without
problem, often collaborating with colleagues working in different time zones. As an individual
fully dedicated to her craft, she is a hard worker and quick learner, and is eager to be part of a
like-minded, creative team.

Poster and brochure design for the annual 'Curatorial Slam!' 

Responsible to provide graphics layout and creative input on the Livelihoods and Food Security Trust Fund (LIFT) reports and publicity related materials, in English and/or Myanmar as required. Providing task notes to the contractor which described the deliverables and timelines for each task assigned.

Graphic Designer (Consultancy)

• Producing clear, concise and vivid materials that convey key messages to target audiences.
• Design of the Annual Report
• Image management, including research and organization of the UNOPS photo library.
• Photographing various events at UNOPS and providing photographic guidance to the field on how to take appropriate and usable photographs (framing, subjects, permission, photo release forms, security concerns)
• Liaising with regional and country offices to design products tailored to specific audiences.
• Preparing materials for printing, coordinating with printers and advising on print solutions to offices in the UNOPS global network.
• Assist in the publication of online materials and support the design and development of both the intranet and the  UNOPS website.
• Provide administrative support to the communications unit (CU) as required, such as payments through the Atlas system
• Establish and maintain robust routines around the procurement of services required by CU

Technical support to all videos and audio recording for the managemnet training in UNOPS
Edit power point presentations making them simple and straightforward to aid workshops
Redesign of the internal training site and providing templates to be used on the length of the training

Proof reading content in Spanish in the Annual Brochure as well as other different publications.
Mailing to the different offices around the world and making sure the content was received.
