Here is how I work. Being a designer who also is an artist has given me the ability to navigate strict budgets, tight deadlines, and stressful work environments while also being able to maintain flexibility and a creative mindset. A good designer knows how to design his best work even when he isn’t feeling it. They know the ins and outs of project timelines (i.e) how to have a clean workflow, demonstrates seamless organizational skills, are quick to producing relevant designs, and have a proficient knowledge of color theory and typography. And when creativity wanes, a good designer always has a wide library of designers in his head to look to for inspiration.

Lead creative for Powder Magazine and Bike Magazine and co-lead for Men’s Journal. Creative direction for digital, apparel, and print media using trend forecasting, relevant design, and strategic research related to the sports and outdoor industry. 

Assisted with Powder surpassing 1 million followers across all platforms a  22% increase YoY and Bike Magazine surpassing 1.5 million followers across all platforms – a 15% increase YoY.

Reinforced innovative techniques for market position through the incorporation of digital platform publication, social advertising, and targeted event design branding. 

Worked in cooperation with premier brands across the industry (Patagonia, Atomic, Salomon, Giro, POC, etc.) to create informative gear related content. 

Reported to the Senior Administrative Director in the establishment of a summer curriculum that incorporates the training and authorization of studio equipment for students with an interest in medium exploration.

Operated as the primary liaison between the Digital Fabrication Studio and
students in the Low-Res MFA, posting weekly office hours and organizing individual studio critiques.

Designed and lead specialized facilities, digital program, or equipment
workshops based on student need and interest.

Digital Fabrication Design Coordinator (LR-MFA)

Facilitated an educational environment for students to learn and develop advanced graphic design and digital fabrication skills.

Managed and instructed students usage of 3D printing, Laser Cutting, Plasma Cutting, CNC Milling, and Wood & Metal Shop machinery.

Integrated Adobe software to aid with academic course assignments.

Assisted with the assembly of graphic design files for undergraduate and
graduate students through weekly advising sessions.

Operated as researcher and design instructor for all fabrication machinery including 3D Printing (Ultimaker 2+, 3, 3+, S5 and Lulzbot) Laser Cutting (Trotec Speedy 400, Flexx 400, Universal Laser Systems 150) and CNC Plasma cutting. Each used the Adobe Creative Suite and Rhinoceros CAD programs

Primary Research:
Synchronization of Adobe CC programs, wearable objects, designed objects, footwear design with Voronoi Fabric Technology.

Senior Instructional Graphic & Fabrication Designer

Designed innovative graphics for external clientele and in-house sport apparel collections.

Color tested apparel textiles to ensure consistency across all fabrics.

Communicated with the production team overseeing that all products designed are complete according to sketches and design briefs.

Enhanced the overall brand using trend forecasting research and technology
into creative briefs for management.
