I have developed a strong problem-solving and analytical mindset through research opportunities with both the Western University and Deep River Science Academy. I have cultivated a sense of collaboration and encouragement through leading projects such as Western University’s first comedy sketch show. In the future, I want to apply these skills in a business context so that I can combine my leadership skills with my mechanical engineering and business education.

In my off time I enjoy road cycling and tinkering with my bikes. In September 2015 I biked along the southern shore of Lake Ontario from London, ON to Ottawa, ON in just under two weeks. The ride was amazing and not having to fix a flat tire the entire time was even better!

Designed and drafted HVAC and plumbing systems in AutoCAD adhering to the OBC 

Produced RFP to promote and implement environmentally focused government-funded cost saving measures 

Performed preliminary energy audits for long term care residences and projected ROI for installation of energy-saving equipment


Mechanical CAD Operator

Constructed a prototype of a thermal storage that acts as a phase-changing heat exchanger to store energy within a phase change material

Characterized the heat transfer process to increase the viability of solar energy and to repurpose waste heat from industrial and heating applications

Completed this project in part through an NSERC-USRA grant and my fourth year thesis project course


Undergraduate Research Assistant

Increased internal efficiencies by creating a survey template to readily collect vendor information, eliminating version control and human error issues

Constructed an Excel tool that provided an easily digestible visual output, allowing clients to individually determine product and vendor needs

Completed primary and secondary research on service desk software from various vendors to compare product offerings for clients based on their needs
