Senior Headwear Designer

I am a sport accessories designer, currently working on headwear and knits for a licensee of Adidas where i have been for about three years. I was formerly trained as an industrial designer at Otis College of Art and Design. I am experienced with hard a soft goods, and i feel comfortable adapting and learning new categories. 

Lead designer in Headwear means designing the entirety of the line for each season for headwear and knits. This involves trend travel and development travel. Trend shopping looking at color, graphics, materials, and silhouettes. It is a collaborative environment made up of design, development, marketing, management and sales. We collaborate to refine the line that I design throughout the season, and then I present the work that is done. We move through research, ideation, iteration, development, color and presentation. I am comfortable creating tech packs, speccing product, making mock ups, and working through color. I am used to taking direction from marketing and working through a line list accordingly. I am comfortable working within restraints of a larger brand. 

Before designing headwear, I was an associate designer on the sock team, so I am comfortable with socks, hosiery, knits, and headwear.
