I have worked in the apparel industry for more than 10 years with emphasis on product development although I have worked in various fields of the industry. My managerial experience begun as a Technical support, production to product development, coached development teams, cotton and synthetic fabric research & development, technical package creation, produced beautiful showroom samples and obtained good price negotiation skills. I also possess strong knowledge of production and scheduling, paper pattern drafting and garment construction standards. I am aggressive, a detail oriented team leader with a good eye for issue spotting and creative problem solving attitude. I work well alone under pressure, but I am at my best collaborating with others. 
I have an Associate of Arts degree in Fashion and Design from Los Angeles Trade and Technical College and speak Spanish fluently.

Currently I am freelancing while I pursue new opportunities.

•	Managed the store, designed and produced our own merchandise. Men’s beach clothing.
•	Coordinated production and all aspects of the process from design concept to final product.
•	Product was made as one of a kind and required constant fabric research, trims and appliques.


Designer and Merchandiser

•	Implemented miadidas mass customization program in Central America. 
•	Led the manufacturing process, material development and replenishment calendar. 
•	Coordinated all aspects of production process, (WIPs, KPIs)


Sr Merchandise Manager

•	Served as principal interface between design and third party overseas factories to develop a strategic supply network. 
•	Coached product development team to produce exceptional prints and garment dyed. 
•	Attended meetings with design and sales teams to plan and execute the product development strategy. 
•	Produced excellent quality samples (sales, TOP, production). 


Product Development Manager

•	Managed the uniforms division to supply our customers in the Hotel and Cruise-line industry.  
•	Coordinated all aspects of product development cycle and production. 
(Unfortunately due to an accident I left the company)


Apparel Division Manager

•	Coached the product development team, implemented good communication techniques and transmitted an entrepreneurial mentality to improve execution of projects. 
•	Monitored to execute excellent material development in Central America.
•	Created technical packages and produced top of the line showroom samples.


Sr Product Developer

•	Collaborated with cross-functional teams to draft project schedules and plans. 
•	Served as the single point of contact for projects while monitoring all aspects of product development for PFD and Garment Dye programs.
•	Negotiated excellent prices among our strategic supply network to maintain an optimum margin strategy. Position was based in Moscow, Russia and required extensive traveling through Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Thailand and Jordan.


•	Worked with factories to setup and execute the best manufacturing methods. 
•	Coordinated sample development and monitored quality from raw material to the final product. 
•	Trained and coached the quality assurance team.
•	Implemented more assertive methods when issues arose during production.
