This has been a great chapter in my career. I started as a Sr Designer with oversight of Columbia’s apparel color and trend. Shortly after my arrival the department was reorganized and I was promoted to the role of Sr. Design Manager | Color.

In this position:
• I managed all product color (ftwr, apparel and equipment). 
• Designed and built seasonal decks of insightful and strategic color and trend direction documents. 
• Had managerial oversight of a small team of talented Color Designers and occasional contractors. 

I lead my team through conceptualizing, researching and creating consumer relevant aesthetic stories and treatments for electronic gadget covers. I built and delivered color and consumer trend presentations intended to broaden our brand’s reach and consumer appeal. I created product delivery strategies which differentiate per-door assortments and provided each retail channel with the necessary exclusivity and seasonal energy.

Design Manager, CMF

Established a new level of color strategy & merchandising for Adidas Basketball increasing domestic and global sell-through by solid double digit numbers for four consecutive years . Developed “Color Consumer” profiles to help footwear and apparel product teams understand the mind-sets and purchasing behaviors of intended target consumers. Created per-channel blocking & materials strategies and product delivery plans intended to maximize brand reach, improve sell-through numbers and increase profitability.

Lead Color & Trend Designer

Led this 800 million dollar category with insightful, trend and consumer relevant color stories. 
Created product differentiation through color blocking strategies, branding executions and graphics application. 
Developed year-long color merchandising plans for key signature athletes - LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Amare Stoudemire, Steve Nash, Jermaine O'Neil, Kevin Durant and others...

Footwear Color Designer - Basketball

Managed an in-house team of Apparel Graphic Designers. Later, this role transitioned to capitalize on my expertise within the screen printing industry. At this point I assumed charge of a large team of Graphic (color) Separators and Design Support staff.
