When I was 20 years old, I made a decision. Working just about every job in the food service industry from bus boy to banquet captain, I felt like I was having the life sucked out of me. Fed up with the monotony of the daily student grind and feeling as though my creativity was being hindered, I left Rutgers University for California State University Monterey Bay.
I had signed up for a program through Rutgers that would allow me to study at a different school of my choosing for a semester. Surrounded by students from around the world and motivated by my crave for adventure, I found myself continuously out of my comfort zone. Whether it was surfing in shark infested waters, finding hot springs in the deep wilderness of Big Sur, or being shaken awake by a distant avalanche whilst camping in Yosemite, my professional focus began to narrow.
Now I put my creativity and love of adventure to use for Red Bull as a Student Brand Manager. My love for adventure, ability to push past my comfort zone, and to use my previous experience to facilitate creativity allow me to be a good fit in the outdoor industry.
