Chelsea Di-Ann Brown
Dear KÜHL Team,
I can assure you that with my education, my passion to create products people love and my unparalleled determination to become an expert Pattern Maker. I know that I will be an asset to the KÜHL pattern team.
Like KÜHL, I was born and raised in these mountains. Last summer, I returned to Utah from my studies in Paris, France. It was an honor to learn and work under masters in the Fashion Industry. However, I realized just how deep my love for the outdoors was, I felt it best to return to my roots.
I have worked in many positions within both Men’s and Women’s apparel industries and bring to the table a perspective that understands, from experience, not only the Customer, but the Sales Associate, Buyer, Production Seamstress, Designer and Pattern Maker. This has taught me that I value creativity, innovation, quality, practicality and precision as a pattern maker.
I worked as a production seamstress for one year at my current place of employment and then was promoted to Pattern Maker. Being the only Pattern Maker at Sew Trendy, I grade all patterns by good ol’ paper and pencil. I have not worked with Gerber Technology, however, I have worked with Modaris which is an equivalent for many French apparel companies.
With my studies at ESMOD, and working at Sew Trendy, I have solid experience with creating first patterns, as well as following and supporting the production process from design to final product. I currently work very closely with the Design Team from initial design sketches/ideas through to final fittings. I have experience working in a small, yet growing, company and I am willing and able to wear multiple hats when needed.
It would be an honor to work at a company, such as KÜHL, which emphasizes authentic character, craftsmanship and free will and following ones own beliefs and desires.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
