My educational background is in mechanical engineering and I have 10 years of experience taking concepts and turning them into production-ready designs. Product development design and engineering for inventors and startups. Provide clients with product launch services including market research, business modeling, product development, and building a sales strategy. Core competency is concept development, design, engineering (including structural finite element analysis), detailed manufacturing documentation, and manufacturing sourcing for new products. Expert in plastic, sheet metal, machined metal, and wood parts design. Experience designing electronics packaging and enclosures for medical and consumer products. Experience developing the mechanical components for an optical sighting device and sourcing an appropriate subcontractor for the optical design and manufacturing. President and Founder

Manage the development of products from concept to production. Work with clients to formulate successful development strategies to bring products to market most efficiently. Collaborate with a team of colleagues to improve existing products and provide mechanical engineering and design consulting services to clients. Perform Finite Element Analysis on components and assemblies to determine structural integrity, deflection, and interferences to dramatically reduce the number of prototype iterations and time to market. Generate and release drawings for prototype and production. Work on products that utilized many manufacturing methods including injection molding, thermoforming, plastic and metal extrusion, sheet metal forming, machining, laser cutting, and water jet cutting, . Product Development Consultant

Performed pipe system stress analysis using Caesar software. Performed local pipe stress analysis using Ansys. Used MicroStation and principles of structural/mechanical engineering to design and place pipe supports. Revised pipe support detail drawings. Worked on projects where integration of stress analysis and design of pipe support details was required with extremely limited lead-time and succeeded in keeping projects under budget and on time.
