Apparel Designer and Development

Experienced  Designer with a demonstrated history of working in the apparel, fashion, and construction industry. Skilled in Editorial Illustrations, Trend Forecasting, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Fashion Illustration, and Overseas Production. Strong arts and design professional with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) focused in Fashion/Apparel Design from A.I.U. London.

* Work closely with Director and Senior Designer to create advanced concepts through sketching and rendering.
* Develop complete tech packs in coordination with the design and development teams, including detailed specifications, fabrications, and technical drawings.
* Own life cycle from sketch; tech pack creation, fit approvals from proto to final pp size set approval for multiple product lines.
* Manage fit sessions with Design and Product Development; maximize fit session productivity and schedule follow-up fits for corrections as needed
* Be able to accurately assess garments for fit, spec, and shape; measure samples, create specs, finalize grading, identify issues & give thorough information to make complete corrections with Asia factories.
* Maintain strong understanding of fit and construction standards to ensure brand consistency and quality as well as keeping up with new and innovative apparel trends.
* Resolve and communicate fit and construction issues via proper channels (PLM, Design, Development) to suppliers with a high sense of urgency
* Experience interpreting design intent, offering alternative solutions, and acting as a technical resource
* Recommending pattern or construction adjustments to achieve desired aesthetic, fit, and quality standards
* Keep all backend; data and color / graphic management systems well organized.


Apparel Designer/ Tech Designer II

•Creating seasonal concepts for Apparel Design with a focus on action sports. Specifically mountain biking, adventure wear, and active for men’s, women’s, and kids. 
•Developing seasonal trends and colors pallets for a wholesale market. 
•High focus on fit. Created a fit standard for Men’s and women’s. Including fittings, spec creation, and fit comments. 
•Creations and maintenance of PLM data integrity. 
•Daily communications with overseas factories. 
•Managing calendars to ensure critical milestones are met.

•Art File Creations including repeating AOP patterns using Pantones.

•Partnering closely with design and production teams to create samples quarterly for apparel and accessories.
•Responsible for product life-cycle from design concept to production for new development. Including costing.
•Managing SMU in accessories, cut and sew, packaging, R&D, and printing.
•Creating BOM’s,Tech Packs, and Art  les. Calling out pantones for strike o ’s and lab dips and fit comments.
•Updating art and graphic designing including typography.

Product Developer/Design

•Responsible for creating 3D kitchen designs from start to  finish. Updating iterations and using correct measurements
for the designs.
•Sourcing materials with overseas factories. Including appliances, tiles, and  findings.
•Creating bill of materials for contractors.
•Creating designs with seasonal color pallets, patterns, and layouts.
•Negotiating costs on material and contracts.

Design Consultant 


•Tailoring and altering men's and women's clothing. 
•Fitting garments to customers in a professional manner.
