Brand Ambassador

Hi, my name is Allie Kresen! I am a senior at West Virginia University majoring in Design Studies with a double minor in Sustainable Design and Recreation, Parks, Tourism, and Resource Management. As a kid, I spent all of my free time in the outdoors and that passion for wilderness has shaped me into the creative environmentalist I am today. I have volunteered with organizations like Friends of the Cheat and Friends of Decker’s Creek to work on river and stream quality, worked on more local trail maintenance crews than I can count, and formulated trip models for beginner backpackers and rock climbers during my time working with Adventure West Virginia. I have learned a lot about the human effect on the environment and I would love to get to continue learning and growing while contributing to the health of the planet. My passion for exploring the outdoors is only surpassed by my passion to save it, which is why my professional goal is to foster a connection between my clients and the nature that surrounds them.

Responsible for increasing the company’s influence across the country in my local community via social media, word of mouth and other various channels of communication. Ensuring to maintain the brand’s reputation through all sales techniques and communication with customers while securing transactions and increasing clientele.

Responsible for designing innovative advertisements, flyers, posters and online promotions for the Magnifeco website with an emphasis on eco-fashion and sustainable living. Working with the founder to ensure all projects align with the design standards, aesthetic and values of the company. Delivering all assignments in a first-class, timely manner in accordance with creative brief instructions and deadlines.

Graphic Designer

Creating floor sets with emphasis in visual merchandising as well as executing seasonal activations in accordance with AEO creative brief. Responsible for exceptional service in accordance with AEO corporate standards. Providing personalized assistance to customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers to establish a basis for repeat patronage. Assist in training of associates and aiding them during real-time, customer-facing transactions.

Lead Cashier

Responsible for leading a four-day, outdoor backpacking trip each for incoming freshmen as an orientation experience teaching life skills through outdoor examples. Taught participants the basics of rock climbing, harness mechanics and how to maneuver an ATC belay system. Demonstrated how to pack for an outdoor trip appropriately. Taught lessons through games, examples and comradery. Taught a college-level class each night of the trip, covering topics like on-campus student resources, healthy decision-making, diversity and inclusion and goal setting.
