As an Accounting Assistant I was primarily responsible for a range of general staff accounting tasks and the management of recurring payments, processing invoices, posting deposits and transfers, filing and other projects as assigned, within Oracle R12 EBS Financials:
• Creating various types of invoices for our clients (Oracle EBS AP and AR)
• Record transactions in journals, classify postings, and reconcile amounts (via WEB ADI in Oracle R12 EBS GL)
• Perform account analysis and fulfil ad hoc reporting requests
• Perform bank reconciliations and traces discrepancies
• Serve as first point of contact for employees or customers with accounting questions.

• Work closely with various internal and external teams to ensure accounting guidelines are followed and deadlines are met
• Sales & Use Tax Reporting
• Assist in Month-end and Quarter-end duties include compilation of financials, sales tax and payroll tax returns
• Worked to drive process improvements in other accounting operation functions as assigned
• Ability to work with fellow accounting personnel as well as with personnel from other departments
• Other general accounting tasks and projects as assigned
• Consistently and accurate monitor the A/P aging schedule to ensure proper and timely payment and resolve open issues
• Investigation of any discrepancies between payments received and customer open balances, including reporting such discrepancies to management
