Sseko Fellow

My role as a Sseko Fellow allows me to share the beautiful stories of female artisans in Uganda with the women in my community. As a part of a direct sales team, I work independently to create custom digital marketing promotions and graphics, plan and conduct trunk show events, and partner with customers and HQ customer care to ensure a positive experience for my customers. I also work with other Sseko Fellows to develop innovative solutions, and communicate with the main office in Portland to grow the Sseko Fellow program, and identify areas of improvement to further meet the needs of our customers and artisans.

As an Au Pair, I was given the responsibility to care for a young toddler which included following daily schedules, organizing activities, and working long hours, while maintaining a constant level of energy. My role as an Au Pair required a great deal of flexibility, and strong communication skills, especially given the lack of language abilities of my tiny co-worker.

Part-Time Au Pair

My position as an intern with Symbology took place via distance communication as I traveled across time zones from China to Alaska, and finally to Europe. During the course of my internship, I worked to organize excel spreadsheets, update website infrastructure on the ecommerce platform, and create storytelling graphics for the purpose of branding. The unique internship experience required a global view with a high level of attention to detail, and extensive written and verbal communication skills so as to effectively complete tasks. 

Digital Marketing Intern

As a sales associate, I worked directly with customers to anticipate and meet their needs, and handle difficult guests while maintaining a positive attitude. In addition to my role in customer service, I aided the management team in buying decisions, event planning, and necessary administrative tasks.
