Summary

In Human Resources I am responsible for all HR functions including hiring, associate training, Workers Compensation, reporting, benefits administration, etc. I assist in maintaining and internal controls for accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank and Account Reconciliations, Financial Reporting, Inventory, and Payroll. I am responsible for all Human Resource management, recruiting, training, safety, employee relations.
Manage the administration of benefits for all employees including health insurance, accident insurance, vacation, and 401K. Maintain compliance with federal and state laws including FMLA, ACA, ADA, and others. Maintain reporting and documenting compliance in line with state and federal oversight. Assist in preparation of profitability and cash flow reports for all departments for ownership and evaluate performance by accounting for all revenue and expenses by department. Assist in year and month end closing activities.
Process and maintain payroll function using ADP Workforce Now which includes preparation and processing of semimonthly payroll for all employees for our main company and subsidiary companies; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions.
I ensure the coordination efforts between payroll, human resources, budget, credit and other departments and maintain proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g. labor breakdown codes, overtime, leave balances, head count, and retirement contribution reports)
I handle the administration of the electronic timekeeping system. Setup each employee, valid programs for each employee's charges, and adherence to FLSA & EEOC guidelines; monitor submissions of approved timesheets, ensure valid data transfers to/from payroll services
Establish & maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorization and adherence to APA policy including compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Manage the finance activities of the payroll department in carrying out responsibility for payroll preparation/processing and also multiple state tax reporting, benefits-records (401K, Medical, Dental, Vision, ect) administration monthly payments along with record updates/ transmittals, and payroll systems maintenance/upgrades.
Manage finance activities, calculation and payout of commissions to sales representatives throughout the country. Manage the day-to-day production of distribution payments, related information and documentation ensuring all distributions are processed upon receipt of the appropriate rates
Calculate and run for payment all renewal commission due on a monthly basis
Procure statements & reports, credit accounts, mail payment and have these dispatched to clients in a timely manner. Produce and remit all payments and documentation regarding Distributions & Commissions.
Assist with ensuring that all commission payments are made within agreed timescales and meeting all contracted agreements.
