As a strong believer in using color to tell brand and product stories, I have spent the last 20 years providing color and trend services to apparel, footwear, and accessories companies in the outdoor industry.  From color strategies, trending reports, color CADs, digital tools, and presentation boards, to recolored textiles and merchandising plans, my goal is to always honor and build upon a company’s brand heritage to capture and excite their consumers with products that resonate with them and their passion for fashion and the outdoors.  

Collaborate with and provide color, trend, and material direction for footwear, and apparel companies. Create, customize, and deliver proprietary color designs and trend research services.   Design seasonal color palettes, concept “mood” boards, color CADS, and build digital tools. Deliver market specific trend and competitor research.  Advise on design brand direction, color lifecycle management, material selection, and line management.

Researched, sourced, purchased and managed store merchandise selections for Danner retail stores.  Set creative direction for compelling merchandise assortments, including 3rd party items, branded product, brand exclusives, and promotional items.   Managed timelines, sales goals, profit margins, and product lifecycles for DTC merchandise assortment.  Analyzed sales data and managed product flow. Utilized data to make determinations about incoming stock, sales promotions, floor moves, and future purchases.  Sales of 3rd party product totaled over $1.5 million within the first 2 years. Planned and implemented all in-store marketing and seasonal plans. Identified, developed, mentored, and trained in-store merchandisers to create and maintain strong visual presentations in their stores.  Engaged sales staff with weekly in-store visits, 
product training clinics, and vendor meetings.
