I worked in the banking industry for 12 years in all aspects of customer service from cash handling, to assistant bank manager until 1993.
In 1993, I left it all behind to travel the world for up to 6 months at a time, mostly out of the United States. I lived the "Endless Summer" lifestyle and loved it. I got to try all kinds of outdoor products in our search for making our camping and general lifestyle, better.
I speak Spanish fluently, and Italian semi-fluently and am currently teaching myself French.
I had the opportunity to live alongside many surfers during that time period (1993-2009) and helping other campers/surfers/travelers in their lifestyle. I have traveled most of the surf spots in Western Australia (2007), most of mainland Mexico, most of Baja California (both Norte and Sur), a lot of surf spots on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica (Uvita area) and Panama (Bocas Del Toro Islands), and most of the surf spots on the Pacific side of Central America.
In 2003 I started doing yoga on a regular basis, and in 2009, I started my certification process to teach Gentle Yoga (Alaamba), which is aimed at injury recovery, chronic conditions like diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis, geriatric (modified and chair yoga), and yoga for the atypical yoga student (such as, larger body).
In 2007, I started blogging about traveling outside of the country, surfing in general, traveling with children, and homeschooling.
I have written screenplays (films- comedy, TV-drama), novels (science fiction), books (currently on family), magazine articles and newsletters, and I still blog (erotic stories, divorced and dating women in their 50's, sexual ethics on a sex site).
In 2010 I started living on a catamaran in Mexico for 6 months at a time.
Since 2012, I have lived in the United States and have been raising my kids, who are now in high school and about to leave for college.
