I cut my teeth working at a local news station in Pittsburgh Pa. Working in the commercial production department 3-4 days a week, I gripped, gaffed, DP'd, operated camera, and eventually edited. In 6 years I worked on over 1000 local commercials.
During that period I also freelanced for NBC sports working as a PA for NFL and NHL broadcasts including the '08 and '09 Stanley Cup finals. Go Pens! I also PA'd with the Daily Show during their coverage of the '09 G20 summit where I got to meet John Oliver. Ask me how he saved my life that day!
In 2012 I landed a job at ModCloth.com in their FC located in Pittsburgh creating training video assets. I was then promoted to Creative Videographer/Editor and relocated to San Francisco in 2013. There I created several successful series for their social channels, handling all aspects of video production. In the fall of 2014, the creative department was laid off due to some mismanagement by the CEO and CFO.
After being laid off, I contracted around town with a few companies, editing and creating video assets, before landing a full-time position at Benefit Cosmetics as the Video Production Specialist. There, I created several successful series that are still active today.
After about 18 months of shooting beauty tutorials, I began to yern for something more. I left Benefit for Aspect Foundation, a non profit that helps to place foriegn exchange students all over the country. Here, I directed all of the social channels, created all of the social content, and greatly expanded their social reach. In May, I was laid off due to a drastic cut in funding provided via the State Department.
Now I am freelancing again, currently working with two artists on music video projects that I am very excited about. I would love the chance to bring my skill set and exprience to you at Bell Helmets!
