A recent graduate from Saint Mary’s College of California in May of 2017, I received a Bachelors of Art degree in communication.
As a communication major I have established a wide range of knowledge, principles, tools, and practices, highlighting media, media culture, research, rhetoric, organization, and creativity.
Currently, I am employed as a server at a fine dinning restaurant. This role has allowed me to further develop my interpersonal and leadership skills, as I not only interact with diverse clientele, but I also assist in the training and development of the front-end staff. Further, my years as a Petty Officer Second Class in the United States Coast Guard developed my leadership skills while maintaining electrical and mechanical systems on two different Coast Guard Cutters. These skills were sharpened as a Field Service Engineer. In this position, I collaborated with a 16-man team in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems for Apple Inc., Google, Cisco, Salesforce, and many more.
After clocking out there are many hobbies that I have always enjoyed. My two biggest joys would be soccer and skateboarding. I have been playing soccer for 27 years, and skateboarding for 13 years and counting. Even as life gets busy, these are the two things I continue to make time for. On top of that, I enjoy downhill mountain biking, camping, hiking, travel, the beach, and attempting to cook.
