Richard Allen

I am currently serving in the California Air National Guard as a full-time MC-130P Special Mission Crew Chief. More specifically I am an aircraft mechanic for search and rescue. As my current enlistment is drawing to an end, the crossroads of remaining within my current position and making a career change are fast approaching. With that in mind I am in the process of weighing my options and determining which decision would be the most beneficial for my career.
In addition to being an aircraft mechanic, I serve as; a supervisor to junior members, a trainer, aircraft manager, section Vehicle Control officer, training records custodian, and bench stock monitor. Having played a vital role in several life-saving rescue missions, along with many successful non-rescue missions I am very humbled and proud of my service. However, moving forward I want to remain open to new experiences, opportunities, and continually further my career. If a career change is on the horizon, I would like to shift gears and pursue a career in the outdoor industry. I am an avid mountain biker, who also has a very strong interest in camping, hiking, wakeboarding, snowboarding, or pretty much anything outside.
