I am a professional photographer and part time business owner. I handle all aspects of running Rachel Morell Photography, including but not limited to, photography, social media, marketing, customer experience, industry networking, post production and workflow/system implementation.

I have worked with a wide range of clients from wedding couples, pet owners, families, and business owners to tell the parts of their stories that are important to them. My focus is primarily on helping my clients feel relaxed and authentically themselves. My years of personal development knowledge are often highlighted during conversations and my ability to read people's energy always result in beautiful photos of my clients.

This role allows me to act as a highly organized liaison between new clients and 11 psychotherapists in a group practice shared space.  As the administrative lead, I manage all schedules, introduce clients to therapy best practices, insurance, and HIPAA documents, and communicate any building maintenance information to everyone.  I really enjoy building relationships with potential clients to understand what they are needing in a therapist.

My main responsibility was to capture high quality product photos that clearly showcased designs in both lifestyle and in-studio settings for e-commerce marketing needs. I communicated with modeling agencies, scouted appropriate locations, prepared garments for photoshoots, and managed all personnel on set while also acting as the photographer.

I oversaw the company’s in office studio equipment and was the gatekeeper for maintaining highly organized collections of final samples, present and past. My work included editing, color correcting, organizing, renaming, and sharing final images with the Marketing team as well as uploading final images to the website.

I worked with a diverse range of models in public settings that required a lot of adaptability, quick thinking, and humor to achieve the goals of each shoot.

Product & Lifestyle Photographer

As a production assistant, I received, organized, and specced samples for 15+ collections annually. I created new tech packs with garment specifications, branding info, print scale, Pantone selections, and any other required information. This role had me communicating daily with a supplier in China regarding timelines, sample requests, and design updates. As new styles were introduced, I helped develop sizing charts.

I spent most of my time within Adobe Illustrator rendering artwork, updating digital sketches, and adding details for tech packs and collection line sheets.

Production Assistant & Technical Designer

I facilitated team building, leadership development, and personal growth opportunities through small group initiatives, high ropes activities, and experiential education methodology. I have experience on a number of different challenge courses, ages, and types of groups. Programming was adapted to fit location and group needs.

Ropes Course Facilitator

As the owner and sole employee, I taught myself how to screenprint, manage a business, and work with clients. I designed and produced thousands of printed themed apparel for conferences, events, clubs, and fundraisers. I pride myself on how much clients loved working with me as I sought to make their experience easy and straightforward.

In addition to local clients, I opened an Etsy shop that catered to female football fans. My work began to include heat press techniques, sublimation, and vinyl cutting. I created my own client management system to organize the high volume of orders and learned how to ship products from an at home work space.

Screenprinter & Graphic Designer

Each August, I helped plan and facilitate backpacking trips for student leaders teaching backcountry skills and offering personal growth and team building opportunities. Helping to facilitate transformative shared experiences gave and continues to give me joy.

Wilderness Guide

In this role at a small startup, I designed 13 different handbags within 3 themes and created the technical drawings for each style. I researched trends in the accessory market at the time and designed around materials, trims, and silhouettes.
