Hello! My name is Marley, and I am a writer and editor based in Colorado.
When I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where I studied English, I fell in love with literature and rock climbing. If you knew me then, you would remember me as either the girl with her nose in a book or the girl with her chalk on her hands (and face and clothes and — oh, you know the drill!). I always thought that these two pieces of me had to remain separate; but as I kickstarted my career, I realized that there was something that held these two things together: stories. You see, I live by the philosophy that an adventure is only as good as the stories you come back with.
So, from that moment on, I decided I would dedicate myself to finding those stories and bringing adventure to the page for others to experience. I am perpetually scheming new ways of doing this in hopes that readers can learn, grow, and be inspired.
When I’m not writing, you can likely find me tucked somewhere in the Rocky Mountains or roaming the high desert alongside my pup, Takoda.
A few things on my bucket list: discovering the world’s best fish and chips, learning Spanish, inhabiting a cozy cabin in the woods, foraging my own meal, painting a self portrait, and working up the courage to say hi to Lynn Hill at the climbing gym.
