THERE IS VERY LITTLE IN MY CAREER THAT I HAVEN’T DONE.I could wow you with tales of being a graphic designer, a sports photographer, a painter, an animator and a background artist. I could elaborate on the fact that I’ve done everything from waiting tables, retail sales, computer repair, to managing an animation art gallery. If we were talking, I might be inclined to say something along the lines of, did you know that I worked in U.S. Customs, or as a branch manager for a national company. I was a retail store manager not to mention pretty much anything and everything in-between.
IF I WAS THE KIND OF GUY WHO WOULD NAME DROP; I might say: I attended the best art schools. Studying with some of the worlds most respected and admired artists and designers. I might tell you about my adventures at Art Center, the University of the Arts, MICA, or SCAD. At the risk of sounding self-aggrandizing, I might say: I was a WB Animator, an intern at the Simpsons, or the that I pitched shows to HBO, Showtime and Cartoon Network.
I COULD GO ON AND ON ABOUT MY PASSION FOR EDUCATION, student success, and how design education, in its current state, is failing this generation of designers and needs serious reform.
I can tell you tales of how all of those experiences help me run three successful, creative studios and drive my passion for art and design. I could tell you that not only am I a well known and respected business owner, but you’ve probably already guessed that.
