Born and raised in Portland, OR, I have enjoyed growing up submerged in a culture where artistic expression and innovative ideas are prized and cultivated. I became a graphic designer because I am enthusiastic about exploring new ideas, new technologies, and fresh ways of communicating with people.
Everything that we do is a story with context and meaning, and I am passionate about expressing ideas and emotions in a way that is impactful. Ideas are important, but they have little traction if they are not received well. Being a graphic designer, to me, is taking an idea or message and helping it achieve its full potential.
I majored in Graphic Design at Portland State University. I have always been hungry for knowledge and continue to build upon the information I gained in school; I make sure that I am learning new techniques and keeping track of where trends are headed. I try to find interesting and creative solutions to problems, so that what I create is engaging and impactful.
Being able to work in different formats and media is important. I work in illustration, branding, page layout, print design, and light front end web development. I am goal oriented and am able to manage my own workflow and projects, but also work well with a team and communicate with different departments and groups to accomplish goals effectively.
