Freelance Design & Production

During the last 8+ years in my position as Design/Art Director for my last company I developed a pretty comprehensive set of skills and wide knowledge base revolving around the development of all types of  apparel and accessories.  In that role I was responsible for just about every aspect of the design and development of our various lines and there isn't a hat I haven't worn at one point or another over the years in the design room.  I am a highly efficient designer and team leader and I believe a whole lot can be done with a small team of like-minded professionals.  
 
I am fluent in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign as well as Ned Graphics Fashion Studio and a few other proprietary fashion design programs.  I know every aspect of the apparel design and development process and I am also very experienced working with both domestic and foreign factories remotely and in person to see development through to the sales sample stage.  

Over the past few months I have been facilitating the move of my previous company to Orlando and have recently ended my relationship with that employer as I did not want to move to Florida.  I am looking to start the next chapter in my career and seek a strong company and new professional family to join.

•  Worked directly with buyers and licensees to develop products and categories for various sales outlets.
•  Lead graphics team to produce & develop art for fabric repeats, graphic placement prints, all trims and packaging.
•  Designed & managed development of all marketing materials: line books/catalogs, posters, billboards, e-blasts, etc.
•  Started and maintained EDI/PDM apparel tech pack library, trained other employees on use of EDI system
•  Wrote and implemented SOP manual for design department.
•  Facilitated seamless office relocation to Orlando, FL prior to closing of Los Angeles Office

•  Designed and managed development of several lines concurrently 
•  Reduced development time by 20% through creating and enforcing development schedules 
•  Traveled to China quarterly to manage and supervise development
•  Started and maintained EDI/PDM tech pack library and hard copies for all bodies, fabrics, trims, etc.
•  Apparel design, tech packs, fittings, sourcing, factory communication.

•  Managed design team and enabled company to develop 3 new product lines through efficient time management
