Some of my earliest memories are pitching tents, backpacking and fishing in the Sierra with my father, a professional geologist working in the environmental industry. Exploring historical mine and mill sites, hunting for rocks and fossils, learning about the local geology and ecosystems has shaped who I am and how I want to live.
My past experiences as well as my passion for physical exercise and recreational activities led me to pursuing a degree in Outdoor Recreation from California State University, Chico. Course work at Chico has not only enhanced my overall understanding in the field of recreation, but has improved my skills in regards to professionalism as well.
As I transition from college to career, my aspirations remain unchanged. I wish to continue living an active and outdoorsy lifestyle as well as demonstrate my personal values of hard work, environmental responsibility, and outdoor recreation in hopes of benefiting others and increasing their overall quality of life.
