Freelance Designer

My name is Dwayne Vance and I have over 20yrs of design experience in the action sports, and toy industries. I worked as a full-time designer at Troy Lee Designs, HJC Helmets, and Fly Racing. Then I have done freelance design work for Arctic Cat, Hong Kong Stunt Team, Flying Lizard Racing, Mazda Motorsports, and several other action sport related companies. Not only do I bring a high level of design to the projects I work on but I manage them as well. I have taken several projects to market with success.  Since I have worked in several industries I have a very unique skill set which makes me valuable to any team.

In charge of helmet development and provide design for Fly Racing protective gear. Oversee all the production of helmets and protective gear to meet production and catalouge deadlines.
Package development for several products including, Helmets, Goggles, Gloves and Protective gear.
Help research and develop new technologies for Helmets and Protective gear.
Help lead and give support to design team several areas of the Fly Racing  Brand.

Senior Design Manager

Oversaw all graphics and helmet design in North America. Implement new processes for better design.
Create design consistency across the line of HJC products. Work with manufacturing to improve quality and design.
Work with Distributors to improve product to increase sales
Re invent the HJC brand and make it more relevant in the motorsports industry In North America. Designed and Developed the CLX7 Motocross helmet
Designed majority of Helmet graphics for Spring 2014, Fall 2014, Spring 2015 and Fall 2015. Along with managing several freelance artist

Design Director

Future Elements is my freelance company and we specialized in industrial and graphic design in the toy, motorsports, and entertainment industries. We offer a diverse range of design services including conceptual design, 3­D visualizing, Industrial design, and custom graphic artwork. We have done work for such clients as Disney, Activision,Mattel, Spinmaster, Wow Wee toys, Hasbro,Toys R Us, EA, Arctic Cat, DC comics, Hong Kong stunt team, Flying Lizard motorsports, ICON4X4, Fly Racing, Troy Lee Designs, Arctic Cat and several start up companies. 
I ran this for six years from 2008-2014 as my primary buisness. I still own and operate FutureElements but it is on a part time basis.

Was in charge of creating new designs in the protective gear category. Designed SE1 and SE2 Helmet, Chest protector, mountain bike knee and elbow pads, along with creating graphics for several projects from race teams to helmet graphics. Designed several SEMA show cars for Troy Lee Designs.

Director of Protective Equipment

Helped lead the design team on Acceleracers cartoon and storyline for the TV show. The designs and story were later used for Battle Force 5
Helped lead the team on Dropstars and HIN (Formula Drift) lines and helped create a more efficient process for development of the 1/32 diecast car line.
Other lines I worked at Mattel were Monster Jam, Batman, 1/18th Scale Collector line and Barbie. Designed the graphics for Team Hot Wheels helmets.
Worked on several Basic cars in the Hot Wheels line. 1968 Mustang (Tooned), HKS Altezza,49 Merc (Hardnozed), Brick Cutter, Mercy Breaker, Sir Ominous, Bully Goat, Phastasm, RD­09, Scorcher.

Senior Designer

Designed several pieces of protective equipment. Projects included chest protector, Knee Pads and several SEMA car designs. Also worked on the SE1 helmet
