Robbie Smith is a graphic designer and illustrator with over 10 years experience in multimedia design. His love for art was born from the comic books that taught him how to read, and his sense of sarcasm borrows heavily from your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Over the years, that love of drawing has morphed from pencil and paper to the digital world of pixels, bezier curves, motion graphics and 3D modeling and animation.
Robbie's work has been displayed in US embassies around the world, in popular mobile apps like WallaBee, independent films, and in iOS emoji sticker packs. Recent work for the University of Florida has been viewed by over 1.5 million followers via Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat.
Animated GIFs created by Robbie have generated over 900 million views worldwide on Giphy, an increase in views of over 75% within a four month period. The previous total, 200 million, was reached over a period of two years. UF is now the worldwide leader in higher education GIF views. The next closest university, Harvard, averages over 200 million views.
A husband and father of five boys, Robbie loves to push himself creatively. He constantly seeks new ways to share the beauty he sees in the world around him while trying new approaches and techniques.
