Business Development and Marketing Manager (Start-up Consultant)

I have spent the past ten years within the financial planning and business development sectors. I am now exploring careers within the outdoor industry while obtaining my MBA at Western Colorado University at the first-ever OI focused program in the country. Through my diverse experiences building a practice, consulting for start-ups, and marketing for a large health insurance plan, I have developed a unique set of skills that can quickly adapt to businesses in different phases of their life.

In pursuing my MBA focused within the outdoor industry, I hope to apply the past decade of experiences to new and exciting adventures within the unique world of outdoor-related products and services. 

- Developed formal go-to-market strategy and began implementation, including A/B ad testing, Social Media development, management, and content creation.
- Developed rafting accessories from repurposed materials from the flagship product construction for retail sale.
- Rebuilt website and set up e-commerce business for future development and growth.
- Established industry contacts for potential product reviews to drive brand awareness

Worked directly with the CEO to establish a marketing strategy and assist in the initial phases in their launch of a new trail navigation application by identifying marketing avenues and potential customers, including individual outdoor retailers and outdoor races.


Director of Business Development (Start-up Consultant)

Advisor to a start-up mobile IV hydration company. Developed payment structure and managed payroll system, reviewed liability insurance coverage options for founders, and made decisions on brand design and company message for public launch.


Start-up Consultant

- Developed and implemented a new fee-based client plan program integrated into daily operations, improving customer experience and retention.
- Supported the Investment division in building out and implementing investment strategies for clients ranging from $1M to $10M in assets under management for both existing and new firm clients.

Fee-Based Investment Advisor

- Developed and implemented marketing outreach strategies increasing enrollment in the Medicare Advantage plan by 25% for the year.
- Established new stakeholder relationships to grow the network of services offered by the health plan statewide.
- Established and managed media relationships to promote the plan, including interviewing for local television and newspapers, increasing product awareness within the newly formed territory.

- Established and built a physician-specific financial advisor practice in a previously undeveloped territory for Maryland-based MassMutual agency with 8,000+ physician clients.
