Product designer and creative leader with over ten years of experience in design, marketing and product development spanning the consumer and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) industry. My experience in product design, marketing, business and management has provided me with opportunities to collaboratively and creatively provide solutions that make an impact globally. I serve as a catalyst for systematic change - to foster creativity, inspire, influence the market, challenge the status-quo, and to strategically position brand and business for aggressive growth.

As a highly motivated leader I guide cross-functional teams through the entire product design process, ensure brand clarity and consistency across multiple categories, and advocate for new concept development identified by global market research and trends. With strategic direction, I lead with design thinking and lean startup processes. Contracted product design in new product development, product redesigns, and in enhancing existing products for small and global company’s ranging from the healthcare and consumer industry to the food and hospitality industry. Additionally, served business through marketing, strategy, graphic design and illustration.

•	Interpreted customer needs and market trends to strategically align new product development projects plans and provide consistent product direction to ensure brand position. Provided global market research, market analysis, concept generation and concept refinement.
•	Planned and executed project management skills: created project proposals, responded to request for quote (RFQ), used individual judgement to identify project timeline, structured project costs, and assisted with the project’s statement of work (SOW).
•	Shared and challenged ideas collaboratively between in-house teams and, if applicable, contracted third-party consultants and/or suppliers.

Freelance Industrial Designer and Product Designer

Contributed as a lead creative to help develop innovative, ergonomic, cost-effective and manufacturable product designs for global brands, leaders and start-ups within in the medical and technology industries. Additionally, tasked to lead marketing efforts transferring efforts from an outside firm in-house.
•	Project management skills: support processes in defining market research and development proposals, setting clear objectives, judgement on human resource hours, project timeframe requirements, project costs, conferences, status updates and communication with leadership team.

•	Hired, led, coached and supervised the performance of key individuals on the product development and marketing teams, including third-party consulting firms. 
•	Supported the business development and marketing teams through travel and development process engagements. On-site engagement with prospects, customer’s and supplier to analyze project fundamentals, the ability to formulate the project proposal and project purpose / project objective. 
•	Direct impact on corporate culture, branding, employee engagement and marketing through website development along with internal and external marketing investments. Strategically implemented content marketing to help position the company as a leading industry expert through development of biweekly copy writing.
•	Engaged in company’s strategic planning objectives and in helping develop a value-based culture. Achieved high-impact results performing in the Continuous improvement program and processes; working within and supporting teams to improve company procedures, process improvements and lean processes.
•	Improved existing products and legacy products, exercising support throughout the product lifecycle in: engineering, quality testing, production, and throughout end-of-life.

Utilized judgement to interpret a variety of abstract and concrete variables to define problems; collect data; establish facts and draw conclusions to achieve desired results.
•	Demonstrated value proposition in and out of product design: extensive variety of customer and brand needs based on industry, to uncover the voice of customer (VOC) and target customer, and interpret the market opportunity in comparison to the business model / business strategy.


Industrial Designer

Built and executed cohesive marketing strategy to maximize brand exposure on budget including developing proposals, plans and schedules. Established social and online engagement, advertising, and outbound / inbound sales opportunities. Implemented methods to analyze return on investments (ROI) to compare to cost and effectiveness of the new strategies against legacy strategies. Performed extensive industry research on competitors, new technology, and new equipment to increase business growth.

•	Managed a staff of 16 team members it was essential to travel to the various medical clinics throughout Southeast Wisconsin. Supervisory responsibilities involved staff hires, orientation, coaching, providing fundamental skills training, managing employee performance, charged with performance reports, and directing staff conferences. 
•	Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new processes having a positive, direct impact on team and company culture. Preparation of employee handbook, clinic manual, training procedures and technical instructions.
•	Management and preparation of fundamental orders, contract, expenditures, and records. Negotiates contracts with customers and suppliers. Analyzed plans and reports.


Director of Marketing

Inspired and mentored teams of 20+ young athletes in obtaining their goals through physical and mental endurance and life development. Provided a collaborative environment to build leadership and teamwork skills with a direct, positive impact on team members performance in and out of school along with encouraging achievement of personal goals. 

Varsity Cheerleading Coach, Lead Choreographer

Provided product design within a mixed environment of mechanical engineers, design engineers, manufacturing engineers and industrial designers to provide full service new product development for entrepreneurs and global leaders in the consumer, health and fitness, and technology marketplace.
