Vice President of Design (New York)

Design leader with nearly 20 years’ international experience in Apparel Design; building and leading strong cross- functional teams to create compelling products that drive brand growth. •	Lead the aesthetic and brand direction of Original Penguin across all channels inclusive of Product Design, Marketing and Retail Design.
•	Manage a cross-functional team of 10 people including Design and Product Development in New York Design Office, as well as a team of designers in the London-based EU hub.
•	Lead the Design direction of all licensed product globally; including Footwear, Fragrance, Children's wear, Luggage, Underwear and Lounge, Formalwear, Eyewear and Home, setting the brand strategy and concept for each category and
overseeing the execution with external partners. Building client relationships and forging strong partnerships with Licensees.
•	Discovering and fostering partnerships with inspiring up-and-coming artists, graphic designers and photographers (eg:
Jeremyville, Dave White, Hattie Stewart) to collaborate with Original Penguin on Limited Edition products to enhance our
brand message, increase awareness and elevate the perception of the brand.
•	Concept, styling and art direction of main seasonal advertising campaigns and look-books. Selecting and working closely
with photographers, stylists and selecting models to effectively convey the brand aesthetic to a global audience.
•	Oversee the Retail store-fit concepts and Wholesale shop-in-shop roll-outs, inclusive of all fixtures, signage and POS.
•	Seasonal travel to key countries for Global Line Presentation and sign-off. Lead seasonal inspiration research trips and product development trips to Asia.
•	Present line to key retail partners whilst building relationships to ensure delivery of key concepts and brand message.
•	Achieved significant year on year growth in both US Wholesale and Retail businesses; driving a more balanced product
mix and higher AUR.
•	Redefined the brand aesthetic, including refining fit, branding cohesion and offering a clearer brand message across all
product areas and Marketing.

•	Design lead on the Refined Men's Woven category.
•	Initiating new fabric development and sourcing in Woven Shirts, Bottoms and Outerwear.
•	Present relevant key trend and colour direction for the season and define the category colour palette.
•	Competitive shopping and market placement analysis.
•	Seasonal design and innovation within competitive pricing parameters.
•	Define, maintain and update fit across all product areas.

Senior Designer (New York)

•	Lead the Design direction and Development for the entire Men's collection with regards to concept, colour, fabric and graphic direction.
•	Focus on the Casual Woven, washed and Denim product categories, as well as overseeing the Design and direction of the Active collection.
•	Lead sourcing and product development trips to Asia, and liaise directly with vendors in the Far East.

Design Director Men's

•   Set the Creative Direction for the collection including theme, colour, fabric and graphic direction.
•   Manage the day to day running of the entire design office and Design Team.
•   Design and oversee Development of the Men's collection. Manage a team of six designers, graphic designers and product
developers.
•   Merchandise the Men's collection by analysing sales data and SWOT analysis to produce the men's line-plan and business
direction.
•   Develop new concepts and ideas with the marketing department with regards to catalogue, sales book and collaborations.
•   Present the collection to Key Country sales teams as well as presenting to CEO of Diesel, Renzo Rosso.
•   Concept and develop special projects to drive brand awareness and create energy; 10:55 Project which collaborated with up and coming creatives from multiple disciplines.
•   During this time I studied written and spoken Italian.

Head of Design for 55DSL

•   Strategise and instigate concepts to grow existing revenue targets and develop new business opportunities.
•   Analyze Consumer, Colour, Materials and Trends, and determine relevant directions.
•   Workshop seasonal directions with design/merchandising directors.
•   Design the key volume driving business and monitor and mentor junior designers.
•   Give high level presentations to both global and regional teams.
•   Continuously strive to elevate management skill sets by attending regular training courses.
•   Design Lead for the 2008 Beijing Olympics Nike Sports Culture collections.
•   Designed the first Global foundation collection for Nike Sport Culture.

Senior Designer

•   Oversee two junior designers, as well as co-managing the development team.
•   Design key lifestyle volume ranges for both men and women.
•   Produce colour, trend and fabric direction for specific ranges.
•   Meet and present to key account buyers in the UK. For example JD Sports, JJB Sports etc.
•   Present international ranges to key countries.
•   Created the design direction for the Puma UK and Puma International collections. Conceived one of Puma International's
key ranges based on performance running; Ath Training.

Senior Design Manager

•   Design Puma's entire global Team Sports apparel range: performance playing kits and training ranges.
•   Liaise with specific Country football associations and Football clubs.
•   Design key volume ranges for the global market.
•   Designer of the infamous Cameroon sleeveless shirt (2002 World Cup).
