After graduating from Parsons the New School For Design with a BFA in photography, I worked as a freelance media consultant. For four years, I had the opportunity to apply my degree toward everything from photography, editorial, and retail marketing/strategy. My clients included The Food Bank For New York City, Cool Hunting, Yoxi, JCPenney, 45rpm, W Hotels, and 360 Marketing & Events Group. Some notable outcomes were 1) — increased unique views per month from 5.6k to 64k; 2) — brought media, site, and foot traffic to record highs. Met high sales goals and increased site traffic by 25% to 500k unique views per month.

I decided at this time to take a break and travel, which led me to living in Costa Rica and working within the surf tourism industry. For two years, I worked with three different retreat groups (Surf With Amigas, TuCamino Travel, and Punto Banco Retreats). I worked both as a chef (super- secret-back-pocket -skill) and as a content editor for web and social media. I also had a lot of direct contact with our client base, building on my pre-college-graduation work in coffee shops and clothing retail stores.

After this, I seized an opportunity to seasonally manage a farm in Northern California. This has provided me the blessing of spending my off-seasons surfing in Mexico. The more I surf, the more my passion for the industry builds. I aspire to lend my work ethic to a surf brand with a focus on sustainability and community.
