For almost 20 years, I have been responsible for protecting companies' intellectual
property (trademarks, patents and copyright) through anti-fraud and legal measures, branding, marketing & supply chain controls, and IP government relations. My focus has been creating business solutions rather than just advising on legal IP: innovative protection programs that reduce counterfeiting and deliver increased sales. I worked in China for fifteen years: six years in Beijing, and the second time, for nine years in Shanghai. In between I studied for my MBA at INSEAD, a globally ranked top five business school. From 2008-2012, I worked for a large MNC covering Greater China, and in 2012 I took over the Asia Pacific role for the same MNC. From November 2013 through December 2015, I was based in Singapore.
I have a strong track record for training and mentoring, and can manage both individuals
and teams, as well as build colleagues' and external partners' capabilities as managers, lawyers and case managers. My anti-counterfeiting programs deliver results that can be independently tested via various management tools and systems, KPI / statistics tracking, packaging and brand advice.
Since 2016 I have been back in the US and acting as a contractor for various companies in the fields of brand protection program design, training, coaching and market analysis.
