Graphic Design

I have just recently completed the digitizing of my skill-set having graduated from Shoreline Community College. I’ve achieved an AAAS in graphic design and an AFA in Photography. My industry jacket includes mens' + womens' design & production. My contract position at SCC has just wrapped this month and I am ready to re-enter my chosen career field of apparel manufacturing!

I started my career as a designer back in New York after completing  university. A past employer I was designing for presented me with the opportunity to bring my sketches to reality by relocating me to the west coast and learning the full cycle of product development and production. 

•	Serve as a member of the Arts and Entertainment Board and attend all weekly staff and supervisory meetings.
•	Meet with various clients to clarify graphics needs and time sensitive deadlines.
•	Design visually attractive and informative print and web communications incorporating design standards and customer needs.

Production Associate

• Provided system set up, documentation and support for the seasonal processing. Also facilitating and coordinating the samples for Design, International, Marketing, e-Commerce PR photo-shoots.
• Set-up of seasonal BC style master production orders. Also audit and edit entries to ensure data entry integrity.
• Assist freelance photographer each season by providing all men's sample division lines in a timely fashion.
• Ship and monitor shipments to outside sales offices and PR firm.
• Support art/creative services with photography proofing and color touch-ups.
• Provide Marketing samples for seasonal lifestyle photo shoots

Sample Coordinator

Provide assistance for the imports coordinator within the imports division.
• Updating POs and their packing list quantities with Blue Cherry operating systems
• Daily building of domestic/international shipments according to forwarder advice
• Data entry of actual freight, duty and factory invoice costs in BC for A/P finance division
• Print out ocean forwarder "on-board" reports and apply up-to-date data to existing shipments
• Track seasonal salesmen samples
• Manage filing of import document files

Imports Support Coordinator

Partnered with EB Japan & Germany men’s and women’s’ merchandising teams to commercialize their creative intent by executing fabric and trim development, garment finishes and quality assurance.
•	Execute the development and commercialization of unique styles through styling, pattern, color, fabric finishes, quality testing   and trims with joint venture merchant teams
•	Monitor seasonal production process with overseas agent to ensure all garment components are commercially available to achieve design and business objectives
•	Managed fabric research and development for joint venture styles from sample stage through post production
•	Initiated CAD set up of pattern artwork execution for woven and knit styles
•	Maintain long lead time fabric commitment process for non-agent mills and /or joint venture tag-on orders
•	Handle color standard send-out log maintenance, bulk lab dip, trim and pattern approval
•	Monitor, evaluate and improve seasonal development performance by driving new processes to achieve efficiency and flexibility within the joint venture design and development calendar
•	Update information of line sheets, retain seasonal images in database for reference during following seasonal storyboards.
•	Drive achievement of financial goals by analyzing and evaluating initial target costing to meet markup objectives stated
•	Worked closely with technical design team to establish and improve graded spec blocks for men’s and women’s classifications for both Japan and Germany
•	Negotiated cost discounts up to 15% for programs that were not executed to EB quality standards on behalf of our global partners.
•	Quarterly travel to Japan to monitor, evaluate and improve seasonal development processes by driving efficiency and streamlining of product challenges
